Dr. Noonien Soong. In 2364 he was named as operations
officer and second officer on the U.S.S. Enterprise and
even temporarily commanded the U.S.S. Sutherland.
Tasha
Yar was the original security chief under Captain Jean-Luc
Picard on the U.S.S. Enterprise who led a tragic yet heroic
life until her death in the line of duty in 2364.
Beverly
Crusher was the Chief Medical Officer on the U.S.S. Enterprise.
She was replaced by Doctor Katherine Pulaski during the
second season.

is the Federation designation for an impudent, self-superior
and sometimes malevolent being from the otherwise mysterious
Q Continuum. The alien literally began to pop up in Federation
space to torment Starfleet officers.
William
Riker was promoted to commander, named first officer of
U.S.S. Enterprise by Capt. Jean-Luc Picard, and had a
temporary field promotion to captain during the Borg crisis.
Deanna
Troi is mixed human and Betazoid heritage. She was ship's
counselor for the U.S.S. Enterprise throughout its service
life and its successor namesake. Troi's race is known
for its inter-species telepathy and its emotional empathy.
Ro
Laren is a Maquis rebel and wanted felon for disobeying
orders on Garon II leading to eight fatalities. Released
for a covert mission with Enterprise, later made permanent
as con officer with ensign rank. Resigned to join Maquis.
Captain
Picard was assigned as commander and first officer on
U.S.S. Stargazer, and later promoted to captain after
the death of his superior in battle. In 2363 he was chosen
to command new Galaxy-class U.S.S. Enterprise-D.
Guinan
is a female member of the scattered yet long-lived El-Aurian
"Listener" race, and became the civilian hostess
of the U.S.S. Enterprise's Ten-Forward lounge at Picard's
invitation in early 2365.
Wesley
Crusher is the son of Dr. Beverly Crusher. After saving
the Enterprise from a collapsed star and helping the "Traveler"
return them to Federation space, he was granted rank of
Acting Ensign. In 2370, he esigned from Starfleet to live
on Dorvan V, and to journey to other planes of existence.
