- This story takes a funny look at a time when Gene
Roddenberry was working in Los Angeles in the late 60's
as a motorcycle cop, writing part time for TV westerns,
and pitching the Star Trek series concept. The story
takes place over the period of a week or so as Roddenberry

that eventually become part of the orginal series lore.

Futurama

- Futurama is a futuristic comedy cartoon created by
Matt Groening, the same creator as The Simpsons. Futurama
takes place in the year 3000, after a pizza delivery
boy named Fry, is cryogenically frozen for 1,000 years.
In the future he befriends Turanga Leela, the Cyclops
mutant, and Bender, a drinking, swearing and stealing
bending robot.
- In this episode, Fry is on trial for traveling to
Omega 3 to retrieve all 79 episodes of "Star Trek".
He sets out on his mission with Leela, Bender and Leonard
Nimoy's head in a jar, only to discover William Shatner,
Nichelle Nichols, George Takei and Walter Koening are
living on Omega 3 under the watchful eye of Melllvar,
an evil energy creature that's also their biggest fan.

Babylon

- In the year 2258, it is ten years after the Earth-Minbari
War and Commander Sinclair takes command of a giant
space station in neutral space. He must try to establish
peace and prosperity between various interstellar empires,
all the while fighting forces from within the Earth
Alliance. Commander Sinclair was replaced in the second
season by Captain Sheridan (Bruce Boxleitner).
- Alfred Bester is a senior Psi Corps agent ("Psi
Cop"), and acts as a recurring antagonist for the
crew. At one time he appeared to be linked to the sinister
alien race called The Shadows and the conspiracy which
led to the assassination of Earth President Luis Santiago.

Moontrap
(1989)

- During a routine flight, two veteran space shuttle
pilots discover an alien artifact and bring it back
to earth. It soon turns out to be an extraterristial
war robot, which is able to recycle any biological or
technical material for its own deadly use. The two astronauts
are sent to the moon where Nasa expects to uncover the
mystery of the alien robot's origin. They discover an
ancient humanoid culture and battle the ultimate threat
of the war machines heading earth. |

Columbo:
Fade in to Murder (1976) (TV)
- Starring as Sergeant Johnson
- Columbo (Peter Falk) was a shabby, apparently slow-witted
police detective, although, as the criminals eventually
learned, appearances can be deceiving. Columbo solved
his cases by paying close attention to tiny inconsistencies
in a suspect's story and by hounding the suspect until
they confessed.
- In this TV movie special, a TV producer is blackmailing
the show's star when he decides to kill her and do it
in such a way as to accuse her husband. Lt. Columbo
begins to investigate and he is helped by Detective
Lucerne who at a certain moment suspects the actor Fowler. |
