pilot facing charges of raping and murdering a Commander's

- A self-made millionare Thornton Melon (Rodney Dangerfield)
decides to join his son Jason Melon (Keith Gordon) at
college. He also falls for the English professor there,
Dr. Diane Turner (Sally Kellerman). He performs the
"Triple Lindy" at the swim meet, and the commencement
address all the while making Dr. Diane Turner's current
boyfriend, Dr. Phillip Barbay look like an oafish baffoon.
In the end Thornton connects with his son, gets the
girl, and end up happily ever after.
- Valerie Desmond is the girl of Jason's dreams and
ends up leaving her current boyfriend and falling for
Jason eventually.
