- In this third installment, Magneto gathers an army of mutants to fight the government that wants to cure the mutant "disease", even if it has to be by force. Many characters die in this one. In both sequels, many new characters are introduced on both sides of the war.
- The headmaster, Professor Charles Xavier is also a powerful mutant with the ability to read minds and affect them easily. He has to use a wheelchair, but more than adequately makes up for it with his powerful mind. The team fights enemies like Magneto and Deathstrike among many others including the government itself. The Professor is killed by The Phoenix (Jean Grey's evil side).

Mysterious Island (2005) (TV)

- A deep-sea adventure where after fleeing from a Confederate prison, five people on the run find what they believe to be an escape on a deserted Pacific island. But their sense of relief doesn't last long, as the island turns out to be infested with man-eating monsters of every possible horrific variety. Kyle MacLachlan stars as Cyrus and Gabrielle Anwar plays Jane.
- Unlike the book, Captain Nemo is living in a large house on the Island with a servant and had Captain Nemo making firearms in this adaptation.

- In this adaptation King Henry II keeps his wife, Eleanor (Glenn Close) locked away in the towers because of her frequent attempts to overthrow him. Working through her sons, she plots the king's demise and the rise of her second son, Richard (Andrew Howard), to the throne. The youngest son, John (Rafe Spall), an overweight buffoon and the only son holding his father's affection is the king's choice after the death of his first son, young Henry. But John is also overly eager for power and is willing to plot his father's demise with middle brother, Geoffrey (John Light) and the young king of France, Phillip (Jonathan Rhys Meyers). Geoffrey, of course sees his younger brother's weakness and sees that route as his path to power.
