Claudius (1976) (TV)
- Starring as Sejanus
- The show was a thirteen part BBC adaptation of Robert
Graves' books. Historically correct in most aspects,
all the major characters are real. Claudius in old age
reminisces about his life and family. He is writing
a secret history, to be hidden when he is finished and
found by us some nineteen hundred years later.
- Sejanus was the ambitious Commander of the Praetorian
Guard. Sejanus and Tiberius team up to overthrow the
Emperor, while Livilla poisons her current husband,
Castor so she and Sejanus can plot to take the thrown
together. Tiberius refuses to allow their marriage,
so Livilla urges Sejanus to assassinate him. Tiberius
forcibly retires Sejanus and arrests him, where he is
murdered in his cell by a guard. |

Fall
of Eagles (1974) (TV Mini-series)
- Starring as Lenin
- Stretched out over 13 parts, this BBC drama series
focuses on the Hapsburgs of Austria-Hungary, the Romanovs
of Russia, and the Hohenzollerns of Germany. All three
families ruled Europe in the second half of the 19th
century, but none of them prevailed.
- Lenin struggles to build the future Communist Party
during the 1903 congress that will lead to the split
between the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks.
