However, 113 evil souls have escaped, and the Devil sends him back to Earth to recover them. If Stone can recover all 113, then he'll be given a second chance at life...or so the Devil says.
- In this episode, a damned soul is killing people who have gotten away with their crimes, by electrocuting them. At first it looks like the culprit is Lambert, but it is soon discovered that Willy, the janitor, is the vigilante. In the end, Stone ultimately sends Willy on a one-way trip back to Hell.

- This was a one-hour drama inspired by David Simon's acclaimed non-fiction book "Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets." It is at once a mundane yet compelling look in and around a Homicide unit of the Baltimore Police Department, a group of determined individuals who are committed to their grim job at hand.
- Dr. Julianna Cox was introduced in the season five episode "M.E., Myself, and I," where she is arriving back home in Baltimore to take a position as the chief medical examiner at the morgue. Towards the end of the 6th season, Cox was fired for not lying about a fatal auto accident involving a city truck driver.
