The
Twilight Zone (1963) (TV)
- Starring as Johnson in "Valley of the Shadow"
- The TV Series originally ran from 1959 to 1964. Rod
Serling hosted a bizarre and always twisted half hour
story about anything you could possibly imagine.
- In this episode Philip Redfield (Ed Nelson) is a reporter
who stops for gas, and encounters the small town of
Peaceful Valley, where machines can create ham sandwiches
out of thin air and make dogs disappear or come back
to life. Having learned the secrets of a miraculous
power source Redfield thinks they should share this
with the world, but the town elders give him a choice:
stay forever or die.
- Johnson answers the door when Redfield is looking
for his dog that literally disappeared. Johnson makes
the dog reappear with an electronic device and then
acts if nothing happened in the first place.

Gunsmoke
(1962) (TV)
- Starring as Davit in "Quint Asper Comes Home"
- Based on the radio series of the same name, Gunsmoke
was network television's first "adult" western.
The series debuted in 1955; and ran for 20 years. James
Arness starred as Matt Dillon, marshal of Dodge City,
Kansas. (the role was originally offered to John Wayne).
